Search by Keyword Screen

The Search by Keyword screen allows searching through the text in Linear Technology documents. Wild card searches can be constructed by the use of a preceding or succeeding asterisk (*). To make sure that a keyword is included in your search put a + before the word. To make sure that a keyword is excluded from your search put a - before the word.

Search Area

The search can be restricted to only selected documents, e.g. from Databooks, and/or Application Handbooks, and/ or LT Magazine articles, by clicking in the appropriate check box in Search Areas.

The terms displayed in the Browse Wheel is not restricted by any selections in the Search Area.

Edit Box

You may enter the target term(s) in the edit box, or select the Browse button to display a scrollable list (a Browse Wheel) of the indexed terms.

Browse Wheel

Selection of the Browse button will display a scrollable list (a Browse Wheel) of the search terms found in the Linear Technology documents. You may quickly advance through the Browse Wheel, e.g. to verify the existence of a term, by typing the first character of the term you seek.

The terms displayed in the Browse Wheel is not restricted by any selections in the Search Area.

Buttons

Search Button: Once the search is constructed, select the Search button to execute the search. A count of the number of documents that match the search will be displayed to the right of the edit box. If the count is high, a more restrictive search can then be constructed.

View Results Button: When the count reflects a manageable number of documents to review, select the View Results button to advance to the Results List.

Clear: The Clear button will clear the contents of the edit box.
